Chamomile Night Tea

Traditional preparation. This is not medical advice and nothing here promises a cure. Dried chamomile flowers steeped in hot water make a mild, floral cup traditionally enjoyed as part of a calm bedtime ritual.

Traditional preparation. This is not medical advice and nothing here promises a cure.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp dried chamomile flowers
  • 2 tsp honey, to taste (optional)

Steps

  1. Bring the water to a boil, then remove from the heat.
  2. Add the chamomile flowers, cover and steep for 5 to 8 minutes.
  3. Strain into two mugs.
  4. Sweeten with honey if you like and sip slowly.
Serve with: a quiet evening routine and a light snack, if you like.

Covering the cup while it steeps keeps the delicate floral aroma in the tea.
