Traditional preparation. This is not medical advice and nothing here promises a cure.
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 4 sprigs fresh eucalyptus
- 6 leaves fresh mint
- 1 large towel
Steps
- Boil the water and pour it into a large heat-safe bowl.
- Add the eucalyptus sprigs and mint leaves.
- Set the bowl on a stable table and sit comfortably in front of it.
- Drape the towel loosely over your head and the bowl, keeping your face at a comfortable distance from the steam.
- Breathe normally for 5 to 10 minutes, lifting the towel whenever you need fresh air.
- Finish by patting your face dry and resting for a few minutes.
Serve with: a soft towel and a glass of water nearby.
Keep your face well above the water: the steam should feel warm and pleasant, never scalding. Stop right away if it feels too hot.
