Traditional preparation. This is not medical advice and nothing here promises a cure.

Ingredients

  • 1 basin warm water, enough to cover the ankles
  • ½ cup Epsom salt
  • 2 tbsp dried lavender flowers
  • 1 towel

Steps

  1. Fill a basin with warm water, checking with your hand that it is comfortable, not hot.
  2. Stir in the Epsom salt until dissolved, then add the lavender flowers.
  3. Sit comfortably and soak your feet for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Lift your feet out, pat them dry with the towel and put on cozy socks.
Serve with: a thick towel, cozy socks and a quiet chair.

Check the water temperature with your hand first, and skip the soak if you have open cuts or sores on your feet.
