Baked Stuffed Shrimp with Crab
Plump shrimp stuffed with a buttery crab filling and baked until golden — a special-occasion plate with weeknight effort.
Ingredients
- 16 jumbo shrimp, peeled, tails on, butterflied
- 8 oz lump crabmeat, picked over
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375°F and butter a baking dish.
- Mix the crabmeat, panko, mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, Old Bay, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper gently, keeping the lumps intact.
- Arrange the butterflied shrimp in the dish, cut-side up, and mound a spoonful of filling on each one.
- Drizzle with the melted butter.
- Bake 18-22 minutes until the shrimp are pink and the topping is golden.
- Rest 2 minutes and serve with lemon wedges.
Serve with: roasted asparagus and lemon wedges.
Butterfly the shrimp deeply but not all the way through, so the filling has a pocket to sit in.
