Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta
One pot, one silky garlic-Parmesan sauce, zero fuss — the pasta cooks right in the sauce base so the starch does the thickening for you.
Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 3 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp kosher salt
Steps
- Melt the butter in a large deep skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Pour in the broth and cream, add the pasta, salt and pepper, and bring to a gentle boil.
- Cook, stirring often, 10-12 minutes until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened. Add a splash of water if it gets too thick.
- Remove from the heat, stir in the Parmesan until melted and glossy, and serve immediately.
Serve with: roasted asparagus, a green salad and extra Parmesan.
Stir often in the last few minutes — one-pot pasta thickens fast and can stick if left alone.
